Starting today, those who subscribe to can play games like A Way Out, Fe, The Sims 4 Digital Deluxe, Star Wars Battlefront II, and more. These are some of EA’s best-selling titles, and with access to Battlefield V, FIFA 19, Madden NFL 19, Anthem, and more all launching soon, this service could become a must-have for PC gamers. I personally love The Sims and Battlefield, so this service would be a great way to get early access to the upcoming FPS game and also be able to enjoy one of the most in-depth RPG games available. Electronic Arts revealed during an investors call today that Origin Access Premier, a new service announced at E3 that will give subscribers early access to new 'frontline' games like Battlefield. OriginLab recommends running Origin from Boot Camp, if dual-booting is an option. For those who prefer to run Origin as an application on your Mac desktop without a reboot of the Mac OS, we suggest the following virtualization software: Parallels ® Desktop for Mac; VMWare ® Fusion; VirtualBox; System Requirements: An Intel ®-based Mac ®. While regular gives you 10-hours of early access to upcoming games, Premier will allow you to play the entire game early, with no time limits attached. Of course, there’s more to than just playing games early and some at no-cost. You’ll also get extra content with all new EA games, valued at a minimum of $20 per game. Likely what this will amount to is giving you the bonus content normally found in Digital Deluxe versions for the price of the entry-level base game. This alone could help pay for the cost of, honestly. If you get at least one new game per month through this service and get the $20+ value in extra content, that covers the cost of right there. The only downside here is that should you ever cancel your subscription, like any other online monthly-payment-based model, you’ll lose access to any games you previously could play. Thankfully, as most save data is stored in the cloud, if you join the program again at a later time, or just purchase the game outright, most of your previous progress should carry on over to the new install. If you’re always trying out new games, but don’t want to dish out $60+ per title without the knowing if you’ll like it, this is a great way to try-before-you-buy, or just keep the subscription indefinitely to continue to get new content. If there’s an EA-produced game that’s not in the list yet, don’t worry, as Origin is always adding more titles to its plans as time goes on. I was an early member of the base program back when there were under 50 total titles, and now it’s nearing 125 for the regular plan, and almost 130 for the new Premier plan. You can sign up for through the or app on your Windows-based PC. Sadly, it doesn’t look like Mac is included here though Origin does support Apple’s operating system for some games.
